We are delighted to announce our 2026 overseas professional — PANCHA, Pramod Maduwantha 
welcome home!
After bringing in Matt in 2024 and Dom in 2025, we knew it was always going to be a huge challenge to match or improve on that level of quality. Securing Pancha is a big statement about the direction we want to take as a club moving forward.
There’s still plenty of work to be done before his arrival, but as a club we’d like to wish Pancha the very best for his upcoming season in Sri Lanka and we can’t wait to welcome him in April.
First-team captain Pete Lawson had this to say:
“Firstly, I’d like to thank the club for making this happen. I always knew Panch would come back Home but it was more a question of when, not if , I certainly wasn’t expecting it to be 2026. I’ve been really happy with Matt and Dom, but Panch is a captain’s dream! He’s a left-handed bat, bowls quality spin, is consistent, athletic in the field, and most importantly he’s a great guy off the field too, which is vital when signing a pro.“
“Panch approached us about making a return, and with several other clubs chasing him, it was an opportunity far too good to turn down. The fact he wanted to come back to Furness speaks volumes about where the club is heading.“
“Finally, I’d like to thank Griff for taking the lead on this. I was determined to keep my focus on this season, so I left it with him and once again, he has delivered.”
